Happy Birthday Rebecca!

We were so excited to have the chance to celebrate the big 1-4 with Rebecca. It was a great day - we got to go to church together, lunch at Outback - yum! and help them pick out a Christmas tree, as well as b-day party with cheesecake - double yum!

We were so happy that two families from our church were going to be around for Gabie's birthday and able to come over after Thanksgiving Eve services for a party.

Gabie got to pick one present to open at breakfast - she was excited to get a princess computer from grandma and grandpa.

Lack of Updates

Reasons for lack of updates:
- we lost our poor little kitty Saturday, it was very sad :( She had a cold and a parasite and then got her vaccination (we didn't find our about the cold or parasite till after she was vaccinated) which altogether was just too much for her poor little system.
- Eliya broke our camera last week, which makes it hard to take pictures, let along upload them.
- We've been busy decorating and getting ready for Thanksgiving/Gabie's b-day/Christmas. Which definetly helps to make the house feel more like home!

If/when I get the camera fixed I will begin updating again. Thanks for checking in on us!

Christmas Lights

All tangled up!

I was going through Christmas lights to see which ones still worked - when I came back in the living around I found that I someone wanted to 'help'.

Random-ness

I believe this is the day the camera was broken - Eliya took all these pictures (and quite a few others that weren't even see-able). At some point during this she dropped the camera and broke the cylinder - it seems to working somewhat, but is very tempormental and difficult to convince it to talk to the computer anymore. Thanksfully there was a great sale on Black Friday so there should be a new one under the tree.... :)

I think Gabie's shirt in these pictures is very appropriate for a 'getting in trouble' type of day - ha!

Weird Sleeping Places Continued....

I had the hardest time finding Rachel....you can see why - the top picture is the upclose of where she was between/behind the chairs in the living room.

For Jacalyn

The girls got this great package from Jacalyn in Gettysburg. We had a fun day the week before we moved decorating cookies and playing lincoln logs at her house - the girls then got a package to remind them that their first home was "on the prairie..." They also had a tradition of visiting her at the church office there and getting suckers - so of course to top the package off....Thanks Jacalyn!

Just in case our lives weren't crazy enough.....We now have Princess!

This picture was taken under the hutch so it gives you an idea just how tiny she is. She was the runt of the litter and Eliya (early) Christmas present.

Our new stove should be arriving tomorrow and I am in the process of doing some measuring because (let's hope!) if the council approves they will be redoing the cupboards and adding a garbage disposal and dishwasher. It was actually proposed by one of the elders (thank you thank you!) So here's hoping..... :)

Home-School Science

Until the new year we are home-schooling the girls. We found a FANTASTIC school in Steven's Point for them to go to that we are very excited about, but to make the transition smooth we are starting at the semester break. Gabie will be in preschool and Eliya will be in Kindergarten but in the meantime we have been homeschooling to stay on top of things. They are doing great! It's been fun. This was an experiment with growing crystals - there is a big long technical sciencey name for it (that I'm sure Sarah S would know!) but for the most part they grew to about 100 times the size they started out - then we mixed the colors and put them in the window to make rainbows with our crystals.

Happy Birthday Elijah!

We got to have the Weidners over for part of a weekend. They had a wedding in Plover and stayed with us on Thursday/Friday and Sunday. It was wonderful seeing them and it was so special to get to be a part of our godson's special day (or day after) as Elijah's birthday was on the 31st. It was great getting to see our friends and no one had to drive 11 hours to do it! :)
